Tomorrow

Posted by STUPIDVAMPIRE - August 20th, 2022

Tomorrow is the big day, tomorrow is the day I see My Chemical Romance.

I have waited over a decade for this. MCR is what got me through middle school and high school. I remember filling up my locker with printed out pictures of the band members and shit lol.

I'm literally so excited. 13-year-old me would be shitting his pants right now lmfao. I remember being upset because I thought I would never be able to see them, here I am about to be 20 and seeing them for the first time. Not trying to sound cringe but like, it's such an important thing to me. I grew up with super religious parents who wouldn't let me consume any kind of media that they deemed "satanic", MCR being one of them. My family were in a moral panic because seventh grade me wanted to wear black nail polish and listen to rock music, they even went as far as throwing away my DVD copy of a Tim Burton movie that my friend got me for my birthday because they thought it would possess me. It feels so good to be able to live out all these teenage dreams that I couldn't enjoy when I was younger. I can barely contain myself, I feel like my arteries might explode.

My only wish was that I could take my sister with me. She wasn't an MCR fan like I was, but what makes this band so damn special and such a big deal to me was that I hold so many fond memories of my foster siblings with this band. For my 15th birthday I received a clean version of a black parade CD, and I listened to it religiously. During the summer when we were trapped in butt fuck nowhere with no access to internet or the outside world, I was pop in my CD and we would just lie on the floor and listen to it. "Mama" was our favorite song, All My siblings knew every word to it lol. We would all sing along in the living room and it drew our mother crazy x)

I can't wait till tomorrow!
